Townhouse Branch Falls, Nantahala Forest, Almond, NC...I read from other sources that this waterfall was quoted as being 30 feet tall, but I have to express definitely not. If Upper Helton Creek Falls in North Georgia is 60 feet in height, then Townhouse Branch Falls has to be at least 45 feet tall or more in height. Although direct morning sunlight faces the falls, arriving early enough to avoid the hot spots is beneficial. The waterfall is tightly nestled between two steep ridge lines and is densely shaded from the surrounding trees. There is a serene peacefulness on site, and one could easily sit down at the foot of the falls for several hours to reflect. This was my 15th new waterfall I've visited in 2021. Townhouse Branch Falls is completely secluded and there are no access roads near it for miles, except the old overgrown road in the forest which ended at the train tracks. I tried to capture as much of the peace and solitude at the setting in as much as I could, and wanted you to see the falls from a vertical perspective first.
