I certainly didn’t plan on coming out this week, but pride inspired me to tell my daughter, who then drew a beautiful picture which I shared on twitter. The next I know the local paper asked to write a story before National press picked it up. It made its way across the pond and I ended up being fully out. Online the reaction has been pretty horrible, comments below the post on twitter are a mixture of bile and ignorance. I’m glad it’s out and I’m proud to stand up and show myself to the world. I can take the negative comments in the hope I make it easier for the next person.
