Hokkaido Jacob's ladder [Bressingham Purple] Synonyms: Polemonium yezoense var. hidakanum 'Polbress' Shot through foliage to get soft focus. Just playing with unusual composition. My idea was to shoot through a tunnel of sharp focus to the soft area beyond, reversing the normal focus gradient the eye moves down. Not sure if it works. Comments welcome. I think it works from a reasonable viewing distance but not up close. :-(
